The CM2c is a compact monitor that has stunning deep controlled bass and huge soundstage that would normally be heard from a speaker needing to be twice its size.

Drivers

 

The CM2c’s drivers are made for LoVetri Acoustics by audiophile companies:  Seas in Norway and Vifa in Denmark.  Two of the most respected driver manufacturers in the world.  Using drivers from more than one supplier doesn't always make sense economically to a company but in the case of the CM2c it makes sense sonically.

The 5.5 inch (14 cm) Vifa woofer has a coated paper cone and magnesium chassis.  While the Seas tweeter has a 1 inch Sonotex precoated fabric dome.

Combined they produce a very low distortion, open, detailed and dynamic sound.

Crossover Network

The primary purpose of a crossover is to divide an audio signal into separate segments to be sent to the tweeter and woofer respectively.  The CM2c employs a minimalist, crossover design with  the fewest and best components available.

Only the best components are used, with highly regarded audiophile capacitors made in France by Solen and large gauge perfect layer air core inductors. 

Cable used for connections uses large gauge 99.999% oxygen free conductors and is soldered with lead free silver solder.

The CM2c has binding posts by Cardas that are made of solid copper with rhodium over silver plating...unheard of in a speaker at this cost.

Enclosure Design

 

The enclosure is made of thick high quality MDF and is heavily braced on the inside making it incredibly rigid to reduce cabinet resonances.

 

Expensive damping material is used in the box to absorb sound that would otherwise bounce around the box and back to the diaphragm and is important for smooth response.   This gives the CM2c  an incredibly tight, clean bass and detailed midrange.

The CM2c comes standard with a thick, highly polished black lacquer finish or “piano black” as some call it.

Testing

 

All drivers and crossover components are tested and matched into pairs. 

All our speakers are shipped in perfectly matching pairs and can be matched in greater quantities for special application like surround sound systems.

Our design team employs state of the art anechoic chambers and test equipment.  All our products are tested with the most modern techniques but no design is passed until it passes our listening tests.
