The primary purpose of a crossover is to divide an audio signal into separate segments to be sent to the tweeter and woofer respectively. The CR2 employs a minimalist, crossover design with only the fewest and best components available. Only the best components are used, with highly regarded audiophile capacitors made in France by Solen and large gauge perfect layer air core inductors. Cable used for connections uses large gauge 99.999% oxygen free conductors and is soldered with lead free silver solder. The CR2 has bi-wire binding posts by Cardas that are made of solid copper with rhodium over silver plating. |
