Driver selection and matching is a critical part of loudspeaker design and the LoVetri Acoustics team has a great deal of experience. Cost is not a factor when choosing components, only sound and LoVetri Acoustics drivers are sourced from the best manufacturers in the world. The CR2’s drivers are made in Germany by Accuton. They have ceramic inverted dome diaphragms that are made of sapphire lattice produced in a unique electro-chemical manufacturing process. This makes them incredibly stiff and rigid for their weight which is ideal for smooth extended response and high detail. Many other companies only use aluminum diaphragms with some sort of ceramic coating sprayed on them. They acknowledge the benefits of ceramic but don’t want to spend the great deal more money on the long manufacturing process involved in the CR2’s drivers. The driver’s concave dome shape yields wide and uniform energy distribution compared to other shapes. This means that the CR2 will sound outstanding over a greater region of the listening area making for easier placement. |
